Quick-action clamps as connecting elements in quick-change systems from norelem
The quick-change system from norelem is a flexible solution for positioning and securing small workpieces in e.g. measuring equipment and microscopes. The system is used in particular when low clamping forces but high precision are required.
The norelem quick-change system for zero-point clamping of fixtures is comprised of various components. These include baseplates, quick-action clamps, add-on elements (usually adapters to connect clamping elements and quick-action clamps) as well as holding elements such as vices, chucks or needle pads.
Quick-action clamps connect baseplates and add-on elements
New to the norelem range are quick-action clamps, that are basic elements that can be mounted directly onto a baseplate or machine table using T-slots or screws. norelem has various baseplates on offer, for example baseplates with T-slots and some with M6 tapped holes.
The quick-action clamps form the interface between the baseplates and the add-on elements. The add-on elements in turn serve as an interface between the base and clamping elements and can be connected to these without tools. The norelem product portfolio comprises three different add-on elements for free spatial positioning: Aluminium adapters for precision vices and for 3-jaw chucks as well as angle elements.
With the clamping elements from norelem, small parts can be fixated on measuring equipment, microscopes, profile projectors and the like. The range comprises four different variants: With the precision vice, which is also available as a miniature model, ,workpieces can be clamped quickly and easily for measuring on measuring machines, even those with bores. The precision 3-jaw manual chucks are particularly suitable for applications where low clamping forces and high precision are required. The round workpieces are held by simply turning the clamping ring manually or using the tension lever supplied. The needle support is ideal for clamping cast and moulded parts, as the spring-loaded needles adapt to the shape of the workpiece when it is pressed down. By locking the needles, the workpieces can be reproducibly positioned and secured in this workpiece holder.
Advantages of the norelem quick-change system
With the quick-change system from norelem, individual elements and even entire fixtures can be exchanged quickly and the system can be set up for new workpieces and processes.
For example, clamping elements of all categories can be positioned quickly and easily via an adapter and positively secured. Fixtures can be disassembled an infinite number of times and completely new reassembled or reassembled exactly the same: Reproducibility saves time and costs, and the running time of the machine is significantly increased - a clear advantage over the usual one-way fixture construction.
